OLALEYE MARKET UPDATE: PROMISE MADE, PROMISE FULFILLED
Few hours after fire engulfed the larger part of Olaleye Market in Somolu Federal Constituency, our ever proactive and humane member of the House of Representatives in person of Hon. Ademorin Kuye immediately placed an urgent call to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and also ordered the submission of a letter to officially inform the agency of the loss and calamity which have befallen the market, and to sought for their urgent assistance with the aim of bringing solace to the victims.
To our greatest amazement, few weeks ago, NEMA wrote a letter to the Abuja office of Hon. Ademorin Kuye’s commiserating with the market men and women of Olaleye Market and promising to give palliative materials to them and also some building materials to aid the immediate commencement of the reconstruction of the market.
Through the help of our MHR, the programme was immediately handed over to the Lagos State office of the agency headed by Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye and his ever ready team that went to the incident area to assess the extent of the fire disaster and also conducted independent collation of the names and phone numbers of the affected traders.
Remember, in the meeting held before with the representatives of NEMA at their Lagos office, it was agreed that the delivery of the promised food items and building materials would be carried out on Thursday July 23, 2020 at the market but later changed to Agunbiade Primary School for security and convenience reasons.
The day was a beautiful day in Somolu Federal Constituency, especially at Agunbiade Primary School. The items were brought there and the handing over was done in the presence of the market leaders and victims of the fire disaster. Stakeholders from the Constituency present were representatives from our MHR, Princess Olayemi Bashua-Kuye, Hon. Layo Benson, Hon. Layo Benson, Alhaji Z. Jimoh, Hon. Jimi Olanrewaju, Hon Taiwo Adesanya (Tadex) SLG Somolu Local Govt, Alh. M. O Lawal, Alh. K Olasheu, Alh. Wale Erico, Mr. K. Maiyegun, Hon. Tunde Oladejo Chief Whip SLC and Councilors, Our women, headed by Alhaja F. Yaya and Alhaja Olowosale, Tosin Odubanjo, Segun Kogi, Iya’loja of Somolu Chief (Mrs.) D. Olufojude, Baba loja Alhaji Bashiru, Mr. Rasaki Ambali and their executives helped in the distribution of food stuffs directly to the traders.

Speaking at his Abuja office immediately after being briefed of the handing over of the palliative, Hon. Kuye said “first and foremost, I want to give glory to the Almighty God, the Omniscience and a great provider who has made it possible to bring smiles on the faces of the affected traders. Who also made it possible for this struggle to be successful at this crucial time in our nation.

HON. KUYE SUCCESSFULLY PUTS SMILES ON THE FACES OF THE PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS ON SATURDAY SEPT. 19, 2020
If you can think it, you can achieve it.
About 4 weeks before this date, our indefatigable and humane MHR, Hon. Ademorin Kuye during a meeting with his staff in Abuja said “how come we forgot the Private School Teachers who have been at home for about 5months receiving no income. These set of people are very important to the future of our nation.
They mould the future leaders, they train the future professionals, they give all without relenting, for the token they refer to as salaries. Even though the salary is little, it stopped coming in since Covid-19 pandemic lockdown commenced in Nigeria since March.”
We are extremely glad, the programme which was slated for 1pm Saturday September 19, 2020 was highly successful. The Teachers were extremely elated, filled with joy and happiness. They wholeheartedly showed gratitude to the MHR for remembering them at this crucial time.
The Ademorin Kuye Group DG, Hon. Layo Benson, Tactical members, Hon. Dare Martins, the Education Secretary (ES), Hon. Barr. Shina Adeoye, Mr. Rasaq Ambali and other leaders were present at the programme.

AFTERMATH OF #ENDSARS: HON. ADEMORIN KUYE DONATED N5MILLION TO ALADE MARKET TRADERS WHO SUFFERED LOSS
The aftermath of #ENDSARS is what virtually everyone is currently faced with now. It started gradually in a very laudable manner but ended inflicting pains, leaving behind huge loss on the side of both the government and the masses.
Honourable Kuye once said, “I am called to solve problems, to put smiles on the faces of my people, anything outside that, count me out”.
Hon. Kuye’s heart was filled with sorrow when the information of how Alade Market and Police Station were razed intentionally by the hoodlums who took advantage of the #ENDSARS protest.
On getting to the scene of the destruction on Thursday November 5th, 2020, Hon. Ademorin Kuye, a very humane being immediately called for the release of the sum of N5,000,000.00 (five million naira) to be given to all the market traders directly affected by the inferno. The money has immediately been handed over to the Market leader.
Addressing the journalists, Hon. Kuye said, “I feel very bad at this moment, I never thought our people could descend so low to the extent that they believe destroying government and people’s properties is the solution to their problems. The time has come now for everyone, man and woman, boy and girl to understand the fact that every Government building or movable property in our communities is automatically ours.
The Police Stations, BRT Terminals and Buses burnt down and destroyed are our properties. They were all purchased and built using the taxes we all paid to the government.
Until we realize that Properties of Government are ours, we will continue to experience the same problem in our nation.
I call on my fellow Public Servants in Somolu/ Bariga to kindly come to the aides of our innocent Market traders who are directly affected by the inferno for immediate restoration.”
In addition to the above, Hon. Kuye has immediately instructed that a letter seeking for the immediate intervention from National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) be drafted and submitted to the Agency to assist the traders and possibly to ensure the razed structures are built as soon as possible.
When a round peg is placed in a round hole, everything falls in place.

After the National Anthem, the atmosphere became very peaceful because everyone wanted to hear from the Son of the soil and the facilitator of the Minister’s visitation, the House of Representatives member for Somolu Federal Constituency, Hon. Ademorin Aliu Kuye. He did great justice to his short and wonderful welcome speech, he took his time to explain his activities in office since he resumed and informed the Honourable Minister that the Youth of Somolu Federal Constituency are eager to know more about the programmes lined up by the Federal Government they can immediately take advantage of.
A youth Representative from National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Com. Amodu, in his speech appreciated the Honourable Minister for taking out time to honour the invitation. Comrade Amodu also reiterated the fact that Somolu has not had it this great since inception, as this happens to be the first time a serving Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will officially be visiting the Constituency. He used that wonderful opportunity to appreciate our MHR who singlehandedly facilitated the honorable’s visitation.
He also mentioned the fact that Somolu which happens to be the Printing hub of the whole of Nigeria and most African countries, have two peculiar issues militating against the progress of the Printers, namely;
1. Poor power supply and
2. Heavy taxes on printing materials
Responding to the requests of the Constituents, Hon. Sunday Dare was extremely happy to be in the midst of his people. He urged the Somolu Printers to form a Coorporative to enable them get the Federal Government attention regarding their Printing materials and the heavy duties paid on importation of their materials such as paper.
Hon. Sunday Dare also promised the Sportsmen in Somolu to establish a Sports Academy in the Federal Constituency to give room for more talent discoveries.

HONOURABLE KUYE ONCE AGAIN FACILITATED THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BLOCKS OF CLASSROOMS & BEFITTING TOILETS TO SOMOLU & BARIGA
Education is the bedrock of every society, if a nation must develop greatly, it must invest fully in education, researches and inventions.
“…. we want to say a big thank you to our Honourable for always performing beyond the expectations of Somolu/ Bariga people, God will continue to uphold and bless him with more connections and wisdom to do more by the special grace of God. This is wonderful!.”
–A Head Teacher in Somolu
“Hon. Kuye is not leaving any stone unturned in ensuring he brings brighter future to his constituents. As we all know that sound education begins from the vicinity to structures, qualitative teachers and flexible ways of teaching which in a nut shell could be referred to as ENABLING ENVIRONMENT.”

Hon. Kuye ranked one of the top 10 NEWBIES in the House of Representatives by Bills sponsorship
Answering to the fact which says ‘putting a round peg in a round hole’, is the best a nation can achieve in her lifetime. Even, the Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila is very proud of him.
These are people’s submissions:
“For making us proud in Somolu Federal Constituency, sky will not be your limit Hon. Kuye. I have no regret voting you into power, and with the landmark achievements, I will vote for you more and more, because a vote for you is a vote for a better future for our nation.” – Concerned Somolu Resident
“During campaign I heard a lot of convincing information, like ‘first timer is a bench Warner’, ‘he is going there to learn House Rules for 4 years just like a JSS 1 student in Secondary School’, ‘Tell him not to waste his time and resources’.
Now I am the happiest member of his campaign team because Hon. Kuye has successfully made us proud. I have henceforth made up my mind that anywhere Kuye goes, I shall go with him, if he is contesting again and again, I will vote for him again and again. I remain loyal my Leader and Boss”.
– Prince Mayowa Adeoye (aka ORIADE 1)
“Indeed, I came to Abuja for an important issue and fortunately for me, this journal arrived, alas, my wonderful, brilliant and ever-special MHR, Hon. Kuye is being noticed and celebrated for his active roles and brilliant performances on the Green Chamber.
My joy knows no bound as it is glaring that I did not campaign and labour in vain. It is indeed a thing of joy for me that I am the Campaign DG of one of the performing and diligent Members of the House of Representatives.
For the fact that you did not disappoint all your team members, the teaming voters in Somolu/Bariga, the residents of Somolu Federal Constituency, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole; I am ready to campaign for you again and again by the special grace of God”.

LOUD IN SOMOLU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY -PHASE 1 & 2
ICT TRAINING. ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE TRAINING AT BARIGA LCDA AND SOMOLU LOCAL GOVERNMENT GOT LAPTOPS FREE OF CHARGE
When a leader is blessed, his community is also blessed beyond imagination. Friday December 11 and Saturday 12, 2020, Hon. Kuye facilitated an ICT/ Computer Training for the residents of Bariga LCDA and Somolu Local Government respectively.
It was a wonderful and unbelievable event because an unexpected thing happened where all participants got laptops.
This happened live today in Bariga LCDA as against the thinking of many.
Participants were singing and dancing, their hearts were filled with bountiful joy and appreciation because Hon. Kuye has been able to teach them how to fish.
Remember, a good leader builds other good leaders, a good leader moulds other great leaders and prepare them for today and tomorrow’s challenges.
The beneficiaries of the training programme tagged today’s training ‘TRAIN THE TRAINERS‘ because it was not only loaded, it was a life changing programme. They all promised to ensure they transfer the same knowledge to others in the Constituency and ensure virtually all Somolu/ Bariga youth become computer literate. After equipping them with the needed information, they also got FREE LAPTOPS.
APPRECIATION MESSAGE 1
Our Sincere Appreciation to Hon Ademorin Kuye, MHR Somolu/Bariga Federal Constituency.
The world is so chaotic and this could be spurred from the idleness and unemployment of youths which have made the society more violent than productive.
We appreciate Hon. Ademorin Kuye’s foresight and proactiveness to envisage a brighter future for the youths in Somolu/Bariga on his consistent empowerment program such as the just concluded “Train the Trainers” which primarily was to equip youths in Somolu/Bariga for self-development, capacity building and to be self-employed. The scheme accord the participants with sophisticated devices such as laptops to go into the labour market and be established with ICT skills. It is an act that is highly commendable.
A selfless leader is he who we can be described as someone who brings and offer the right machinery to his people to have confidence in themselves and independently tackle their inner beings to be prosperous and productive to themselves and their immediate environment.
Majority of our political leaders lack this foresight and as a result they have failed us in this regard, rather than them emulating this brilliant attribute of Hon Ademorin Kuye, MHR to equip the youths to tackle financial issues that have almost become a daily impediment to the society, they prefer to provide munitions, implement of wars to youth to cause chaos, pandemonium and increases crime and violent act within the community to threaten lives and property of the citizens.
Somolu/Bariga Youth sincerely appreciate your selfless services and good deed and also charge you to continue on this pace to ensure youths of this community get better and successful in their chosen carrier and may the Almighty God in his infinite mercy continue to elevate you, your family/household, and actualize your dreams.
You are God sent and a good leader per Excellence.
We look forward to more glorious community involvement, Youth inclusiveness and participations in Somolu/Bariga Constituency.
Thank you Sir,
Our warm regards from Somolu/Bariga constituency.
Oklans Adebisi
APPRECIATION MESSAGE 2
On behalf of all the beneficiaries of ICT empowerment program, this is to humbly express our profound gratitude to a Leader in all ramifications, a mentor par excellence, and a worthy representative of the masses, Hon. Ademorin Kuye for yet another laudable project at the Somolu Federal Constituency.
We are indeed overwhelmed by today’s great event where the unexpected happened: “ko sele ri” as ALL THE PARTICIPANTS GOT FREE LAPTOP EACH.
‘TRAIN THE TRAINERS’ was not only loaded but also turned out to be a life-changing program for us. We all vowed to impact other youths of the constituency with the knowledge and ensure that majority (if not all) become computer literate.
Sir, history will never forget your dedication, versatility, generosity, and selflessness since the beginning of your career, grassroots, and especially in the Green Chamber.
Since inception and representation at the Green chamber, first timers are expected to be learners and improve in years to come at the chambers but our own MHR has proven everyone wrong within a short period of time in office. NO ONE HAS EVER DONE IT BETTER
We are grateful to have a considerate representative like you who deems it fit Sir, as you gave us a sense of belonging.
We pray that the Almighty Allah continue to bless you in all ways, elevate you beyond measures, and make you a force to reckon with in Politics and beyond.
As your mission is to ensure the growth and development of the Constituency, may God continue to shower His infinite mercy over you and all that concerns you.
Signed:
Hussain Tijani Abiodun
